Sure Deep Clean provides specialist services for Hotels and Stadiums including Kitchen Extract Cleaning for fire safety, Duct Cleaning for ventilation hygiene services.
The biggest fear of any hotel or stadium/sports centre manager is a fire and the ensuing panic as customers and the general public try to escape. Given the scale of catering services in this business sector and the volume of customers processed in a working week, fire prevention is one of the top priorities for stadium and hotel managers. This is one of the reasons that Sure Deep Clean advises many stadium managers on kitchen fire safety management.
Sure Deep Clean’s specialist knowledge of this sector means that most work we carry out in hotels is done at night and with due regard to the needs of hotel managers to ensure their guests get a good night’s sleep. Not always an easy task when cleaning, and ventilation systems, although our supervisors will always try to minimise disruption to the smooth operation of the hotel.

TR19® Grease, to eliminate the fire risk from kitchen extract ductwork, satisfy the conditions of buildings insurance and help ensure prosecution is avoided. Find out more about Kitchen Extract Cleaning for Fire Safety
You need to make sure your kitchen has everything necessary in it to limit fire risks - and there are many ways you can do this! A good way is by making sure there are no traces of grease because grease combusts easily; so when you clean your system, make sure you’re using TR19® Grease. Your system should also be cleaned at least once a year, depending on how much it’s used.
In order to keep the safety of people living or working in those buildings safe from fire, they need to take certain precautions such as having a working smoke alarm and sprinkler systems among other things.
To prevent fire in your building you can make sure all the safety equipment works by checking these every six months or annually depending on which country/state that you live in.
Factory-made food production machines may need different types of maintenance to minimize the risk of them catching on fire. Our team is always ready to offer you advice and guidance through the process.
Food waste, fats, oils and grease can block drains which could then cause a blockage in the kitchen and can lead to prosecution by your water company. Grease, oil and fat deposits will accumulate unseen in kitchen extract canopies and ductwork and pose a serious fire risk that can endanger your staff and customers. Failure to properly clean a kitchen extract may also invalidate your building's insurance leaving you open to prosecution as the Responsible Person and your company for corporate manslaughter.
Another very important passive fire prevention measure is the regular testing, cleaning and maintenance of fire dampers. These are metal louvres that can open and close and are installed across the ductwork to form a temporary barrier when closed but allow the free flow of air when open. You may not even be aware that your ventilation system has fire dampers, but they fulfil a very important function, so you must be sure that they are in working order.
In the event of a fire travelling through ductwork, the fire damper must close, to restrict the oxygen supply to the fire and create a barrier that slows the spread of the fire. This buys valuable time in which to safely evacuate shoppers, especially the more vulnerable and less mobile centre visitors.
There are different types of fire dampers; some are spring operated, some have fuse-links and there are other designs that are remotely operated. All types must be regularly tested, using a method known as drop testing, cleaned and maintained. According to BS 9999 guidance updated in early 2017, all fire dampers must now be tested at no more than twelve-month intervals.
We can help you locate your fire dampers, create access to inaccessible fire dampers then drop test, clean and maintain them for compliance. More information can be found on our fire dampers page.
We can assist with all types of post-fire clean-up & decontamination operations.
Our technical sales consultants will agree on the scope and extent of any post-fire decontamination project, i.e. what will be removed and what will be cleaned. Our decontamination Teams will ensure that the work is carried out to that agreed specification thus ensuring an aesthetic finish and protecting the retained areas and surfaces from the effects of corrosive smoke particles.
