Sure Deep Clean
Training Academy
Building Engineering Services Association BESA standards training. Sound knowledge of the Ventilation Hygiene Industry.
The BESA publications have guided us through how to create an effective cleaning practice. These manuals were crucial in shaping Sure Deep Clean's quality training program; they provided guidance on how best to train our staff members who work with ventilation systems. We are proud to be part of this innovative movement and we will continue championing it because we know how integral it is in making sure that the skills development for people working in the wider trade of grease hygiene remains at a high standard.

Course Information
BESA Grease Hygiene Technician (GHT)
Building Services Engineering strives to make buildings work efficiently. Grease Hygiene Technicians (GHTs) are responsible for some important tasks which include removing grease from various areas of the building, including cooking canopies, canopy air filtration systems, and Ductwork.
GHTs carry out the cleaning of grease extract systems to support fire safety and the health & well-being of those working in kitchens. They prepare the work location for cleaning activities to be carried out. The cleaning work is methodically undertaken and to a very high level. GHTs must have the necessary skills to cut and insert suitable access panels and carry out the correct cleaning methods and techniques to meet industry standards. Generally, they are referred to as the Person in Charge and carry out pre & post-clean testing and reporting activities.
It's crucial to deal with clients when undertaking cleanings so that you can minimize the amount of time spent in the building while still making sure it gets cleaned properly.
They are responsible for health and safety, communication, quality control and environmental requirements.
GHTs know how to go about doing their job while being inside of an occupied building. They will clean efficiently and economically as possible without sacrificing quality or professionalism. GHTs work safely so there won't be any accidents that could harm anyone.
Students can expect a test that has both a quiz and observing practical skills such as removing the access panels and clearing kitchen grease extractors.
It is necessary for any candidate to be able to communicate effectively so they can accomplish the goals of their job.
A professional discussion is a review of the candidate's work before they are evaluated by an assessor. It allows for open conversation about what has already been done and what needs to be improved.
